The Correct English-Chinese Translation of Jury

通过分析Jury在英美法系中的地位和作用,指出以汉语"陪审团"对应英语Jury是始自翻译之初的错误,有失法律用语力求精准的要求,建议译为"参审团"。

By probing into the function of Jury in both Britain and American legal systems,this paper points out that Jury was mistranslated as Peishentuan in Chinese,because it fails to reach the language accuracy required by legal document translation.For that reason,the author proposes that Jury be translated as Canshentuan in Chinese.
