The intrinsic safety was the inherent function that fundamentally prevent accidents occurred in the equipment,facilities or process.The origin and concept of the intrinsic safety were introduced.There were four points should be expounded.The gas related project should be designed,constructed,and put into production and utilization to accord with the requirement of intrinsic safety.The problems existed in the intrinsic safety design in the gas related project.The focal point of intrinsic safety should be realized in the project.The existing problems,emphasis,some issues needing to pay attention to projects that have already been put into operation.Close attention should be paid to the intrinsic safety of the gas related project from the start,and the intrinsic safety concept must be firmly established.The whole life process of equipment and facilities should be considered,the intrinsic safety of projects that have already been put into operation should be put into the daily production operation and management,and continuous improvement should be done.
