This paper,taking “R” trajectory devices as an example,describes a method for smoothing the contour displacement curves of complex combination cams.The method in question is capable of smoothing the discrete points on complex displacement curves of combination cam mechanisms in a relative convenient and fast way by means of carrying out interpolation calculation with pattern B cubic curves and using a dedicated application software so as to meet the design requirements for the cam mechanisms.
