近代湖湘民族主义对近代中国的影响,主要表现在两个方面:其一,是王船山的民族主义思想成了近代中国民族主义思潮兴起的酵母;其二,是近代湖湘许多爱国志士为变法和革命牺牲的英勇事迹,极大地激发了近代中国有志青年的爱国热忱。

The influence of modern Huxiang nationalism to modern China is mainly represented in two aspects： First, The national ideology of Wang Chuanshan has become the catalyst of the rising of modern Chinese nationalism; Second, the many stories of modern Huxiang patriots who sacrificed themselves for political reform and revolutionary has greatly inspired the patriotism of young generation in modern China.
