秀山花灯起于唐,兴于宋,历史悠久,源远流长,在其形成过程中,逐渐融入当地土著居民生活习俗。严格地说,一泼花灯已皆及悦人、悦神、祭祀的功能,已把当地土著人的生活、信仰贯穿始终。

The Festive lantern of Xiushan has a long history which springs up in Tang Dynasty and prospers in Song Dynasty.In its forming process,it is gradually infused into the local living custom.Strictly speaking,festive lantern is a collection of pleasing human and god,and sacrificing as well,which has run through the living and faith of local natives.
