克尔锁模钛宝石激光器中色散和能量对脉宽的作用(英文)

Dispersion and Energy Effects on Pulsewidth in Kerr lens Modelocked Ti:sapphire Laser

摘要 通过用非线性薛定格方程处理光脉冲在钛宝石介质中的传播和独立计入四棱镜系统的色散 ,我们在自洽条件下对自锁模钛宝石激光器的脉冲性质进行了数值模拟计算。本工作的特点在于不断监视脉冲的演化过程并算到自洽为止 ,因而得到了稳定的脉冲及其宽度。结果表明 ,二阶色散补偿是必须的 ,而缩短介质长度比增大泵浦更易获得变换极限的脉冲。 By employing the nonlinear Schrodinger equation (NLSE) to deal with pulse propagation through laser crystal and independently taking into account of 4 prism dispersion,we have successfully simulated the pulse duration properties in a self consistent scheme for a Ti:sapphire laser.Our simulation is distinguished from other algorithms by closely monitoring the evolution of pulse and getting a stabel and convergent pulse in the end.It is concluded that second order dispersion compensation is mandatory and shortening the length of the laser medium is much more effective than pumping it with higher power in producing transform limited pulses.
