Analysis on Landscape Spirit and Picturesqueness of Gardens in the South of the Yangzi River

我国的江南园林自元代后,与画家的关系密不可分,而著名的造园家也都会些丹青绘事。可以说,不通画理之人,也难以通园理。而他们两者的联系也不仅仅局限于理论和审美上,而是有更深层的精神内涵的联系。本文以画理为据,从细处窥看江南园林的山水精神与画面感。

Gardens rested in the South of the Yangzi River have closely linked to painters since the Yuan Dynasty and renowned gardeners usually are good at painting. In this sense, it is hard for an outsider of painting to fully comprehend gardening theories. Both aspects are not only theoretically and aesthetically but also profoundly spiritually correlated. Complied with painting theories, this article appraises the landscape spirit and picturesqueness of those gardens situated in the South of the Yangzi River from details.
