由于习语和一个民族的生活习惯、地理环境、历史传统、宗教信仰密切相联，故习语翻译是英汉翻译的一个难点。本文从这些文化差异入手，分四种情况来讨论习语翻译中常用的英汉同义习语借用翻译方法。

As idiom is close relative to a nation living habit, geography surroundings, history tradition, and the relihious beliefs, the idiom translation becomes a difficulty of translation between English and Chinese. There were four cases in this article which started with culture differenees to discuss the borrowed translation methods of the same meaning idiom between English and Chinese in idiom translation.
