蓬勃发展的旅游业为培养具有扎实的旅游业务知识及英语专业理论知识的高素质旅游专业人才提供了广阔的市场。旅游英语是近年开办的一个新兴专业,不论从专业本身的适应面出发,还是从旅游业发展状况出发,在这一专业的设置中,加入本土文化内容都显得非常必要。该文试着从需求调查分析、本土文化意识、教材编写、教学模式和专业师资等方面提出了渗透荆楚本土文化的教学设想。

Tourism English is a new specialty developed recently.The paper points out the necessity of infiltration of Jingchu native culture into Hubei tourism English teaching,and propose teaching ideas from the five aspects——curriculum demand survey,native cultural consciousness,teaching materials,teaching modes as well as the quality of teachers.
