摘要
介绍了Linux的特点和当前流行的发行版本 ,并从服务器和客户端的角度将它分别与WindowsNT和Windows 95 98作了比较。同时指出 ,Linux将成为Unix类操作系统在中低档服务器和客户机方面同Microsoft争夺市场的强劲对手。
The features and popular releasing versions of Linux operating system are presented. The comparisons between Linux and Windows NT/95/98 are given. Linux has been becoming a tough competitor of Microsoft′s operating systems in the markets of middle/low level servers and client desktop PCs.
