李健吾是我国著名的法国文学专家,但鲜为人知的是他还翻译过为数不少的俄苏戏剧。李健吾的俄苏戏剧翻译实践包括对契诃夫、高尔基、托尔斯泰、屠格涅夫四位作家戏剧的译介,他翻译这些戏剧或为教学或为邀请,尽管它们没能像其对法国文学的研究那样成为经典长久流传,但仍不乏其价值。

Li Jianwu is a privileged expert of French literature, but few people know that he translated many Russian dramas. His translating practices of Russian drama include the works of Chekhov, Corky, Tolstoy and Tur- gernev. He translated these dramas either for teaching or for invitation, though they are not as popular and everlast- ingly as his study of French literature, they are also of great value.
