An Argument on the Identity of Huizhonglifu and Li

盠与穆公、师遽同时,从有关彝器及铭文可知,盠驹尊为共王初期器。而惠仲盠父仅事昭、穆二王,穆王享国既久,惠仲盠父不可能在共王时仍然用事,故与盠非一人。

Li was contemporary to DukeMu and Shi Ju. According to typology and inscriptions, it is for certain that the Li juzun can be dated to the early period of King Gong. Huizhongfffu served the court only during the reign of King Zhao and Mu . As KingMu reigned over the state for a long time, Huizhonglifu could not still serve the court during the reign of KingGong. This paper argaes that Li andHuizhonglifu should not be the same individual.
