苏联解体前夕开始关注与亚太国家的经济外交和贸易往来。独立后的俄罗斯更加注重发展与亚太国家的关系,20世纪90年代双方经济合作还处于起步阶段。进入新世纪后,俄与亚太国家的经济关系相对于前一个十年呈加速融合趋势,其与亚太国家经济关系相对于政治关系严重失衡的现象正在得到扭转。未来,俄罗斯与亚太地区经济合作将驶入快车道,一体化前景看好,主要发展方向是建立自由贸易区。
