肇庆白端石采掘遗址的规模、分布特征及其成因

The Size,Distribution Characteristics and Geneses of the White Duanzhou Stone Mining Sites in Zhaoqing

白端石即产于肇庆(古称端州)七星岩的白色石材,与紫端石、绿端石同为端砚用石,但是与紫端、绿端相比,其开采点普遍规模较小,且分布零散。导致这一现象产生的原因大致有三:一是受石脉形成条件的局限;二是受各个时期雕塑艺术的主流风格影响;三是自明朝以后禁止开采。

The white Duanzhou stone together with the violet Duanzhou stone and green Duanzhou stone, produced at Seven Star Crags in Zhaoqing （known as Duanzhou in ancient times） is used as materials for Duanxi inkstone. But compared with those of the violet DuarLzhou stone and green Duanzhou stone, the scale of the white Duanzhou stone mining sites is generally smaller with scattered distribution, which resulted from the follwing three causes. The first is that it is limited by the formation of the stone veins,the second being influenced by the mainstream sculpture of various historical periods and the third being prohibited from mining after the Ming and Qing dynasties.
