All the King's Men, the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 1947, deconstructs the traditional linear narrative mode and reveals postmodern narrative tendency evidently with the employment of the narrative structure like spider web, the broken time and the fragmented space, and montage technique. To study the postmodern narrative strategies of All the King's Men is to show the literary significance of its postmodern narrative tendency on the one hand, and is helpful to un- derstand Warren' s "theory of spider web" to human being and history on the other.
