Two New Species of the Genus Veigaia （Acari： Mesostigmata： Veigaiaidae）

记述维螨属2新种：河南维螨Veigaia henanensis sp．nov．和福建维螨Veigaia fujianensis sp．nov．

Two new species of the genus Veigaia are described in the present paper. Type specimens are deposited in the Institute of Plant Protection, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Science, Fuzhou. 1 Veigaia henanensis sp. nov. （Fig. 1） Female. Length of idiosoma 430 μm, width 290 μm. Dorsal shield covered whole dorsum, with deep lateral incisions. Anterior region with 22 pairs of setae, F1, V, D1 and D3 longer, M2 long and stout, pilose. All setae on posterior region shorter. Sternal shield with 3 pairs of setae and 2 pairs of pores. Metastemal setae and the 3rd pair of pores on metasternal shields. Genital shield setae 2 pairs. Ventral shield with 6 pairs of setae, both genito-ventral intermediate setae and ventro-anal intermediate setae situated on ventral shield. Punctiform organ with 9 pits arranged in two rows, punctiform organ seta situated at interior end of punctiform organ. Peritrematal shields free posteriorly, parastigmal seta situated on cuticle behind stigma. Medial prong of tectum furcate, lateral prongs wing-shaped. Chela slender. A distal long seta on tibia IV pilose. The new species is similar to Veigaia praeeoneava Ma et Lin, 2004, but in the new species sternal shield without anterior concavity, lateral margin of ventral shield with 1 pair of setae, genito-ventral intermediate setae situated on ventral shield, ventro-anal intermediate setae distant from setae at posterior margin of ventral shield; in the latter species sternal shield with anterior concavity, lateral margin of ventral shield with 2 pairs of setae, genito-ventral intermediate setae situated on cuticle between genital and ventral shields, ventro-anal intermediate setae near to setae at posterior margin of ventral shield. Holotype ♀2, ex forest litter, from Longgu Bend（33° 45′ N, 111° 38′ E）, Luanchuan County, Henan Province, 23 July 2002. The new species is named after collected locality of type specimen. 2 Veigaia fujianensis sp. nov. （Fig. 2） Female. Dorsal shield 344 μm long and 226 ixm wide, with deep lateral incisions. Anterior region with 22 pairs of setae, posterior region with 21 pairs of setae, D3 and M2 long, F2, T1, ET1, ET2, M1 and M3 minute, remaining setae medium in length, all dorsal setae simple. Sternal shield with 3 pairs of setae. Metasternal setae situated on metasternal shields. Genital setae 2 pairs. Ventral shield with 6 or 7 pairs of setae, of which 2 pairs of central setae longer, 1 or 2 pairs of lateral margins setae shorter; genito-ventral intermediate setae minute, situated at anterior margin of ventral shield; ventro-anal intermediate setae minute, situated at postero-lateral to base of posterior margin setae on the shield; central minute setae situated at antero-lateral to base of central long setae. Anal shield with 3 perianal setae. Punctiform organ with 9 pits arranged in two rows. Peritrematal shields free posteriorly, peritreme reaching to base of F2 anteriorly. Tectum wing-shaped. Chela slender. The new species is similar to Veigaia henanensis sp. nov., but in the former new species central minute setae on ventral shield situated at antero-lateral to base of central long setae, ventro-anal intermediate setae near to posterior margin setae of ventral shield; in the latter new species central minute setae on ventral shield situated outside of central long setae, ventro-anal intermediate setae distant from posterior margin setae of ventral shield; Holotype♀, ex soil in hole of tree, from Huanggangshan（27° 53′ N, 117° 53′ E）, Wuyi Mountain. Fujian Province, 4 Aug. 2007. The new species is named after collected locality of type specimen.
