On Improving the Reading Literacy of Master Candidates in Arts

对硕士研究生论文和阅读笔记进行文本分析发现:阅读素养是影响研究生培养质量的关键因素。研究生阅读的基本目标为学会研究性阅读、发展批判性思维能力、结合实践掌握基本研究方法、学会学术化的表达、为完成有质量的学位论文奠定扎实基础。研究性阅读的内容主要涉及观点与材料、方法与过程,具有阶段的差异性。研究性阅读基本可概括为从面到点、从点到面、再从面到点的上升螺旋过程,内嵌搜索文献、做阅读笔记和审读行为。

Textual analyses of essays and reading notes reveal that reading literacy is the key factor to improve the quality of graduate students.The basic objectives of master candidates' reading are to develop research-based reading,to develop critical thinking skills,to master basic research methods combined with practice,to learn academic expressions,and to lay a sound foundation for the quality of dissertation.The content of research-oriented reading mainly involves knowledge and materials as well as methods and process,with differentiated emphasis on different stages.The process of such reading includes upward spiral of broadening up and narrowing down,which is embedded in searching the proper literature,making notes and proofreading.
