Henan Provincial Federation of Respecting and Helping ,the Elderly was establishedin Zhengzhou on February 26, 2012. On the same day, a donation ceremony was held as well. As of today, the federation has received donation of RMB 130 million, which will be used to implement and set up projects for elderly services. Henan Federation of Respecting and Helping the Elderly was a charitable organization initiated by the Veteran Bureau of Henan Provincial Party Committee and approved by Department of Civil Affairs of Henan Province in July 2011. It started operation in March 2008. After its foundation, the federation first implemented the Engineering of Helping the Elderly, which consisted of six major projects.
