Outline of the Ancient Qarasharian Language(Tokharian A)

古代焉耆语为汉唐时期我国新疆焉耆、吐鲁番地区使用的一种印欧语系的语言,曾有过辉煌的历史。19世纪末20世纪初用这种语言写成的文献残卷发现、释读以来,经过各国学者的努力研究,已取得很大的成绩。本文简要地介绍了这种语言的发现和研究及其语音、语法结构,为我国学人提供基本的参考材料。

The ancient Agni （Qarasharian） language was an Indo-Europian language spocken in the Qarashar and Turfan districkts during the Han-Tang Dynasties. Since the discovery of the manuscripts written in this lan- guage at the end of 19th century and the beginning of 20th, great achievements have been obtained in researching this language. In this paper the author gives an outline of the materials on this aspect.
