从语境顺应的角度看科技英语中的名词化现象

Analysis of Nominalization in EST from the Perspective of Contextual Adaptability

名词化是科技英语的一个重要语言现象,但从顺应论视角对其进行研究的不多。结合诸多例证,从语境顺应的角度分析科技英语中大量使用名词化的原因。科技英语中的名词化是客观顺应科技语体特征,主观顺应作者和读者心理状态的一种语言策略。

Nominalization is one of the important phenomena in English for Science and Technology （EST）, but its comments from the perspective of Adaptation Theory are relatively sparse. From the perspective of contextual adaptability, this paper tries to find out the reasons of using nominalization in EST, and eventually concludes that using nominalization in EST is an important strategy which adapts objectively to stylistic features of EST and subjectively to the mental world of writers and readers.
