天然药物防治阿尔茨海默病的研究进展

Research Progress of the Treatment to Alzheimer Disease with Natural Drugs

阿尔茨海默病(AD)是一种以神经元丢失和痴呆为主要症状的神经退行性疾病,它的病理症状主要是细胞外β淀粉样蛋白沉积形成的老年斑和细胞内神经纤维缠结形成的tau蛋白。尽管AD治疗方面的研究较多,但真正能够治愈AD的药物还未发现。一些神经保护性药物正尝试被用于保护正常细胞免受应激干扰或减少病理条件下神经元的丢失。天然药物作为一种神经保护性药物受到越来越多的关注,现就近年来阿尔茨海默病治疗的天然药物的研究进展予以综述。

Alzheimer disease（AD） is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by the progressive neu- ron loss and dementia associated with deposits ofβ-amyloid in senile plaques and accumulation of abnormal tau filaments in neurofibrillary tangles. Although many studies have been directed to AD treatment, there is still no promising intervention for curing the disease. Neuroprotection is the attempt to preserve normal cellu- lar interaction in the brain and minimize loss of neuronal functions in pathological conditions. Currently, much attention has been focused on the potential of using natural herbs as neuroprotective agent. Here is to make a review on the progress in natural druas for treatina AD.
