Information technology is the important teaching tool of general technology subject.The paper introduces the function of modern technology in teaching of universal technology from four aspects：the creating the teaching situation,achieving the optimization of teaching goal,expanding the capacity of classroom,and improving the classroom efficiency,which can cultivate students＇ learning ability.
