A new theorem of vector analysis

E.B.Wilson对 J.W.Gibbs创立的矢量分析作了修改 ,其 η算符的运算规则被沿用近百年之久 ,导致各国许多教科书和一些文献在运算中的混乱及错误 ,亟需改进予以澄清。提出新的符号矢量法 ,已被各国采用。对此法作了简明论述 ,说明它是自洽的 ,并且所有矢量分析中之等式均可用矢量代数的等式求出 。

Improper use of the operator Δ , according to E.B.Wilson, in some early works and in a few contemporary writings in vector analysis causes some mistakes and confusion. For clearing up these misunderstandings, a new method of symbolic vectors was introduced. The method shows that the entire subject of vector calculus can be conveniently developed based on one single defining expression that includes all the integral theorems.
