索绪尔的语言价值观与双语词典词目词的价值体现

Saussure's Language Value Hypothesis and the Representation of Lexical Values in Bilingual Dictionaries

文章从索绪尔的语言价值观出发,结合双语语文词典的构成和编纂实际,提出在以词目词为基本释义对象的双语词典中,词目词的价值由语内价值和语际价值组成:语内价值主要由例证体现,语际价值主要由译语体现。双语词典的根本任务是描述并体现词目词的这两种价值,避免两种价值体现不足和不当。

Based on Saussure's hypothesis of language as a value system and through the examination of the construction and compilation of several general bilingual language dictionaries,where the headwords are the objects of explanation and translation,we put forward that the value of the headwords in bilingual dictionaries comprises intralinguistic value and interlinguistic value.The former is mainly exemplified by examples in bilingual dictionaries while the latter is generally shown by target words.The two values exist both because of the differences and each provides conditions for the realization of the other.Thus the basic task of bilingual dictionaries is to describe and manifest these two values,try to avoid deficiency or impropriety.
