The overlap between the Chinese and the western aesthetics

中西美学是两种不同文化思想体系的美学,它们诞生于不同的社会土壤和文化环境,各有其鲜明的民族特色。虽然中西美学在研究体系、研究方法等大的方面确实风格迥异,但是在讨论某些具体的美学现象和美学问题的时候,中西美学还是有很多不谋而合的相同或相似之处的。这显示了二者在某些美学问题上具有超越地域与国界的共同性,反映了人类在美学乃至真理问题上共同的、普遍的、永恒的和绝对的追求。

Born into different societies and cultures,the Chinese and the western aesthetics are inevitably different systems with respective distinctive flavors.In spite of the marked contrast in research system and methods,the Chinese and the western aesthetics overlap each other when it comes to some aesthetic phenomena and problems,which shows that the universality of the East and the West on some aesthetic problems has transcended space and that the human being share the common pursuit of aesthetics and,more importan,the truth.
