始终坚持和发扬党的宗旨是邓小平心系人民、全力为人民谋利益的具体体现。从重新概括了包括坚持党的宗旨在内的党的优良作风与传统、明确回答了党执政的实质是为人民服务、领导完成了党和国家工作重点的转移、惩治腐败、不断深化对社会主义的认识五个方面阐述了邓小平坚持和发扬党的宗旨的思想及实践。

Upholding and carrying forward the Party＇s purpose is the specific embodiment of Deng Xiaoping＇s serving the interests of the people. The paper dealswith the thoughts and practice of Deng Xiaoping＇s upholding and carrying forward the purpose of the Party in the following five aspects：the repe- tition of the Party＇s purpose and the Party＇s fine style and tradition;a clear establishment of the substance of the ruling party for sreving people;the shift of the emphasis of the Party and our country, the punishment of corruption ; and the continuous deepening of the understanding of socialism.
