This paper introduces the block diagrams of the 12R27PB modem and its main feature, interfaces in use and a field application in data transmission with multiplexing carrier sets of elecrtic power lines. The transmitted 1200 b/s data only has bandwith of 900 Hz. The modems use 8DPSK modulation and differential coherent demodulation.
