城市孕育了大学，大学滋养了城市。老舍先生在《青岛与山大》一文中曾经说过，“一个大学或者正像是一个人，他的特色总多少与他的地方有些关系，这种特色不会随着时间的流失而淡化，而像典藏佳酿一样弥久醇香。”在风云激荡的20世纪，具有深厚历史渊源的青岛和山东大学曾经携手走过了难忘的岁月，青岛的城市品格和文化特质也因此烙上了清晰的印记。54年后的今天，百年山大“回归”青岛，再一次牵手在这美丽的黄海之滨、青岛即墨鳌山湾畔，不解之缘让他们传承着历史、开启未来……
The city gives birth to the university whilst the university nourishes the city. In his article Qingdao and Shandong University, Mr. Lao She said： ＂A university is like a person. His personal special characteristics, more or less have something to do with the place where he lives, which will not fade with the elapse of time. Like a collection wines, they will remain fragrant forever.＂ In the 20th century, Qingdao, which boasts a time-honored history, spent many happy years with Shandong University. The city character and cultural quality of Qingdao therefore were imprinted clearly upon Shandong University. After 54 years, now Shandong University, which boasts a history of more than 100 years, has returned to Qingdao again. By the the inseparable tie between Shandong University shore of the Yellow Sea and the Aoshan Bay in Jimo, and Qingdao will let them inherit the history and startthe future.
