As selenious acid or selenium dioxide used in cold blackening technology at present has such disadvantages as high poison and high price, the authors present that non-selenium cold blackening system established by main film former material with a reaction of Cu^(2+) and sulfur insteat of Se is one of effective solutions to the problem and explore the feasibility of main film former and the choice of other additives of the blackening system.
