This paper introduces the existing problems in traditional teaching of microcontroller and the functional characteristics of Proteus simulation software. The application of Proteus software in microcontroller teaching is expounded by three simulation examples. It is pointed out that the importance of Proteus software in microcontroller teaching. This method enhances students understanding the principle and ap- plication of single chip microcomputer, improves the quality of classroom teaching, promotes the learning initiative of students and trains the ability of students in comprehensive application of single chip microcomputer system.
