The following work in 1999 are briefly introduced: YZK problem of the dispatching automation systems which hasbeen solved in China: the achievements on the $tandardization & application on the automation fields: the statistics & analysisof operation on SCADA/EMS of RCC and PCC: the layout of the tenth five year plan for the dispatching automation inChina; the contents of management information system of the National Power Dispatch and Communication Center: the newsituations & requirements to be faced with on dispatching automation. Besides, the key points of the work of the nationalpower grids dispatching automation in 2000 are pointed out.
