The present paper introduces the software FM458 and hardware and application of the function block SIEMENS FM458 in the control system of the skin pass mill and describes the principle of HRFC reduction control, bending roll control and yield rate control of the skin pass mill in particular and in the meanwhile discusses and analyzes the control concept of the skin pass moill.
