Clinical Observation on Cutaneous Needling in Treating Disorders of pain

皮刺属浅刺范畴。因其针刺浅,针感弱,刺激量小.故作用也较易被人忽视。我素来轻视它,然而,在一个偶然的机会触之,验之临床,竟获良效,现总结如下。

Based on the theories of acupuncture &.moxi-bustion,this article pat forward a new needlingmethod,i.e cutaneous needling in which skinneedling,shallow needling,opposing needling,per-pendicular needling and distant needling are allincorporated.The article also elaborates the rulesand methods of prescribing points in cutaneousneedling.By the observation on the treatment of 300cases who suffered from common painful limbs,itis found that the excellent or good effective rate ofanalgesia by the cutaneous needling with only onesingle treatment is 93.67 per cent.This method hasthe advantage of using less points but obtainingquick effect.Meanwhile,a new opinion was putup,which holds that'there exists a special correla-tion in between the four limbs which can transmitinformations to each other through the system ofmeridians and collaterals'.Therefore,This correla-tion has important clinical significance in treatingthe pain of limbs.
