针灸治疗化疗所致白细胞减少的临床观察

Clinical Observation on Acupuncture &.Moxibustion in Treating Leukocytopenia due to Chemotherapy

从1987年元月至1989年7月,我们对针灸治疗化疗引起的白细胞减少症进行了系统观察,取得了较好的效果,现总结报告如下。临床资料本组272例,治疗组238例,对照组34例,

238 cases of leukocytopenia due to the chmo-therapy for malignant tumour were treated withwarming-needle moxibustion and moxibustion bymoxa cones.179 cases obtained marked effect(whitecells raised up over 4000 mm^3 in 6 days),makingup 75.2% and the total effective rate was 89.9 percent.In the controlled group of medication consistingof 34 cases,there are only 5 cases of marked effe-ctiveness,counting to 14.7% and the total effectiverate was 38.2 per cent.The comparison between thetwo groups found remarkable difference(P<0.01).Elevation of white cells by acupuncture &.moxibus-tion therapy is not evidently related with the dif-ference of disease,and the course or the scheme ofthe chemotherapy,but has obvious connection withthe basal hemogram.The lower the hemogram is,themore difficult it is to elevate the white cells,orotherwise.The result of this treatment showed thatto elevate the level of white cells,acupuncture &.moxibustion therapy is a simple method which hasensured effect but slight untoward effect,thus iseasy to be popularized.
