艾丽斯.沃克的《紫色》是一部著名的反映黑人女性成长问题的成长小说,主人翁西丽的走出家庭独立谋生是小说的重要情节。西丽没有重蹈娜拉可能走的两条路,而是在物质上和精神上彻底独立起来,重新找回了自我,实现了人生的价值,为自己赢得了平等与尊重,终于完成了成长。西丽这一形象在当下社会对广大女性依然具有启迪作用和教育意义。
＂The Color Purple＂ written by Alice Walker is a famous bildungsroman displaying the growth of the black women, in which the protagonist Celie＇s leaving family and making a living by herself is the main plot. Celie finally becomes independent both materially and spiritually and doesn＇t repeat the tragic of Nala, thus she finds her own self back, achieves the value of her life, earns for herself the equality and respect from others and eventually accomplishes her growth. In one word, the story of Celie still has inspiration and educational significance for thousands of women in nowadays.
