Dual Shackles of Talent and Prostitution——A Study on the Image of Xie Tianxiang

本文采用文本细读的方法,试图对关汉卿杂剧作品《钱大尹智宠谢天香》中主人公谢天香的性格特征及精神世界进行审视观照,深入开掘该人物蕴藏的文化涵义。通过对谢天香人物形象塑造的解读,观察基于其个体的独特情感和人性真实,发现人物本身的复杂性和多面性,并进一步思考该人物所映射的其时代的生活常态和普遍问题。

This paper using the close reading method attempts to focus on the characteristics and the mental world of Xie Tianxiang, the heroine of Guan Hanqing＇s Zaju QianDayin ZhiChong Xie Tiexiang, as to examine the cultural meanings hidden beneath. Through a study on the image of Xie Tiexiang, this paper tries to observe the complexity of the character based on the individual＇s unique emotion and universal humanity, furthermore to discuss lifestyle of prostitutes and common problems of the time.
