民族高校英语教师发展状况调查

Professional Development of TEFL Teachers in Colleges for Ethnic Communities

摘要 教师素质是影响民族高校英语教学发展的重要因素之一。通过对学生和教师分别发放调查问卷的方式,从两个角度对民族高校英语教师的素质现状与发展需求进行了综合分析研究。调查结果显示,大部分英语教师能够认真完成教学任务,但是由于主客观因素影响,许多教师存在科研能力较弱、知识结构单一、理论与实践结合能力较差等方面的问题。以Abraham Maslow和Carl Rogers的人本主义理论为基础提出了相关的解决建议,比如提高教师自身发展意识,适当减少工作压力,提供进修学习的机会,给予教师良好的教学氛围等。 One of the key elements for English teaching efficiency in colleges for nationalities is the TEFL teachers' professional quality. Through questionnaire survey to both students and teachers, this paper collects and analyzes information of TEFL teachers' professional quality and development in colleges for nationalities. The result shows that most teachers can complete their teaching assignments dutifully, but due to the positive and negative reasons, many problems remain unsolved, such as comparatively lower passion in doing scientific research, single knowledge structure, lack of ability to combine theories with practice. Based on the humanism theory of Abraham Maslow and Carl Rogers, this paper puts forward some suggestions to solve the problems : im- prove the teachers' awareness of self-development, reduce the teacher' s workload, provide more chances for further education and set up a better environment for teaching, etc.
