摘要  本文研究了计算保偏光纤中应力双折射特性的微元算法,对其计算值进行了理论验证。微元算法可计算以往理论方法无法讨论的非理想保偏光纤中的应力双折射。此算法的计算结果可应用于保偏光纤制造时的工艺设计,以及保偏光纤定轴时的偏差量修正等。 In this paper, we study theoretically infinitesimal element method for calculation of stress birefringence in polarization maintaining fibers. Its calculated values are confirmed by theoretical comparison. Infinitesimal element method can be used for calculating those effects the stress birefringence of imperfect polarization maintaining fibers, which could not be discussed by other theoretical methods. The calculated results will be applied to design and fabrication of polarization maintaining fibers and to modification of the deviation in orientating birefringent axes of polarization maintaining fibers. An application is presented.
