Fructus Schisandra Chinensis Baill is a natural source providing mankind various bioactive ingredients, which has medicinal and heahhcare value as a traditional Chinese medicine. The extraction methods of bioactive lignans, polysaccharides and essential oil from Schisandra Chinensis in the last five years are reviewed and summarized, which will contribute to the further research, development and u- tilization.
