摘要
斯坦贝克的短篇小说《紧身甲》通过主人公由外在力量说服而穿上紧身甲到自己穿着无形的"紧身甲"这样的故事,揭示了人类互为枷锁转而升华为道德自律的生动过程。《紧身甲》孕育了斯坦贝克文学创作中的诸多思考与关怀。尤其是小说对美国人民道德伦理问题的关怀使他成为一个有责任感,且不愿哗众取宠的担当者。
The paper analyzes Steinbeck's short story The harness , the development of story from the heroine wearing the harness because of external factors to his wearing invisible harness presents a vivid re- cord of process from reciprocal shackles of mankind to moral self-discipline. The research helps to shed light on the writer's understanding of the persistent ethical thinking in his works, and explores its profound ethic and moral implications.
