摘要
习语是英语词汇中的一个重要组成部分,学习英语习语是非常必要的。文章在理论基础上开展实证研究,进一步验证隐喻理据在英语习语教学中的作用。如果隐喻理据(或概念隐喻)对习语理解起到一个促进作用,那么认知理据与习语成绩有相关关系。透过认知视角对习语的隐喻特征进行分析与探讨,提出习语是有理据的,并给出习语教学的启示。
Idioms are an important part of English vocabulary and it is necessary to learn them well. Based on the theoretical study, this paper carries out an experimental study to further verify metaphor motivation in the teaching of English idioms. If metaphor plays a role in promoting understanding of idioms, cognitive motivation is related to idi- om performance. From the cognitive perspective, the characteristics of idioms are analyzed and discussed ,justifying the idioms and giving the implications of teaching idioms.
