乌兹别克族的形成与成吉思汗部分后裔的族群分离有着密切的联系,进入中亚的蒙古族与当地土著民族相互涵化最后产生了一个文化上既不同于蒙古族又有别于当地土著民族的新生民族乌孜别克族。乌兹别克汗、昔班王朝推动了乌孜别克族的形成。

The formation of the Uzbek nation is closely linked with ethnic separation of some of the Genghis Khan's descendants from the Mongolian nation.The Mongolians who had entered Central Asia began the acculturation with the native ethnic groups,with the result of forming a new nationality— Uzbeks,which has different cultural characteristics from both the Mongolians and the Central Asian native people.Mohammed Oz-Beg Khan and the whole Shayban Dynasty greatly contributed to the formation of the Uzbek nationality.
