论颜之推语言教学思想及对我国中小学英语教学的启示

On Yan Zhitui＇s Language Teaching Ideas and Their Application in English Teaching of Primary and Secondary Schools

颜之推是我国古代最博学、最有思想的文字音韵学家和教育思想家之一。他在语音、词汇、阅读和写作方面的思想对当前我国中小学英语教学有很大的启示。基于此，本文主要从以上四个方面探讨廉之推的教育思想，他强调语音教学的重要性且提倡语音教学宜始于初；词汇教学通过大量阅读和查阅文献；鼓励阅读教学注重博闻强记，构建宽泛的知识图式；以及针砭时弊地指出了写作教学忽视读者的问题。颜之推的这些思想有利于改变我国中小学英语“哑巴英语”的现状，对我国英语教学改变听、说、读、写“费时低效”的现状有借鉴意义。

Yan Zhitui is one of the greatest educators and thinkers in ancient China. He emphasized that the teaching of pronunciation should be started as earlier as possible. He told us that the vocabulary learning should be based on reading more materials. As for reading, he suggested the students should be interested in reading more materials of different field to get to know more information. He mentioned that the main problem for the writing learning was to ignore the readers. In short, the language teaching ideas are helpful to improve the situation of listening, reading, speaking and writing in primary and secondary schools.
