论中国英语学习者EFL作文修辞的逻辑缺失

摘要 中国学生英语作文修辞模式方面存在的六种逻辑缺失现象制约了EFL语篇质量。这些逻辑缺失的原因与学习者归纳和推理能力密切相联系。学习者逻辑能力缺失是英语作文修辞逻辑缺失的根本原因;培养提高学习者逻辑推理能力,是提高EFL语篇质量的重要途径。 This paper, based on a ten - year observation and survey, examines a lack of six logical consistencies with English rhetorical patterns written by the Chinese students in the Armed Police Academy. Specifically, this paper reports and discusses findings on how this lack of logical connections relates to the lack of the inductive and reductive abilities of the students. As the findings show, the lack is closely connected with the students' inability to use logic of induction and deduction to support their central ideas. The paper ends by concluding that the training of the students' logical sense of induction and reduction is crucial in improving their EFL writing.
