The development situation of PAN - based carbon fiber at home and abroad was introduced, and the problems existing in domestic PAN -based carbon fiber industry were raised, such as lack of featured technologies,low product quality and lack of core technology. Based on analysis of market demand of PAN - based carbon fiber at home and abroad, this paper pointed out that sound development of domestic PAN - based carbon fiber industry depended on independent innovation, reduction of production cost, and strengthening of application research and market development.
