Application of GPS Technology in Vehicle Management:Illustrated with China Merchants Group Logistics

通过描述GPS技术在物流企业实践中的应用,提出大网络、多车辆的物流集团综合物流运输管理系统设计思路。首先指出运输过程"透明化"是系统设计的核心理念,继而分析了三层次架构的技术特点,信息平台的管理功能与效果实现。最后指出,运输过程透明管理系统可以有效提高集团型物流公司管控的效率和执行力。

Through surveying the application of GPS technology in the practice of logistics enterprises, we have proposed in this paper the idea of designing the logistics group comprehensive management system with big networks and nmhiple vehicles. We first point out that transparency of the transportation process is the core concept in designing the sytem and then analyze the technical characteristics of the three-layered architecture and the management function, and its realization, of the information platform. Finally we argue that the transportation management system built around process transparency can effectively improve the efficiency and executing ability of logistics company groups.
