The concept of laboratory information management system（LIMS） was introduced in the paper.Based on the application of the LIMS in Dongguan environmental monitoring station,the application of LIMS in task registering,sample transfer,data processing and report management role were analyzed.The standardization,digitization,process and automation development of environmental monitoring work in Dongguan are comprehensively promoted by the application of LIMS.And it is of far-reaching significance for the development of environmental monitoring.
