动脉粥样硬化(AS)及相关心血管疾病已成为威胁人类死亡的主要原因之一,并将成为老龄化社会主要的卫生和社会经济问题。最近文献报道,AS的发生、发展与分化的不同巨噬细胞亚型相关。理解巨噬细胞增殖分化的分子机制、不同亚型巨噬细胞在AS过程中的功能,可能对寻找新的治疗方案,限制AS发展提供理论基础。
Atherosclerosis(AS)and associated cardiovascular disease have been one of the leading causes of mortality,and these disorders will be the main sanitary and socio-economic problem due to the progressive aging of our society.Recently,literatures reported that the progression of AS are associated with the presence of different macrophage subtypes.Understanding the molecular mechanisms that orchestrate macrophage differentiation and the precise role of distinct macrophage subsets might provide a basis for novel treatment strategies to limit the progression of AS.
