The structure characteristics and the memory principle of shape memory polyurethane were introduced. The shape mem- ory function of polyurethane and influencing factories were emphatically discussed. The intelligent waterproof and moisture permea- ble, the functional finishing of wrinkle-resistant, no-iron performance and stabilised were debated. The problems and prospect of shape memory polyurethane in the textile industry were described.
