When museums＇promotion in information technology is mentioned,we tend to think first of the promotion in informa- tion technology about cultural relics preservation,protection and research;in fact,this is only an important aspect of information man- agement about ＂Assets＂ in museums,and another aspect that canlt be ignored is the information management of fixed assets.To take Shandong Museum as an example,in recent years Shandong Museum closely follows the modem trend of the development of informa- tion science and modem property management,and gradually embarks on an orderly information path in the management of fixed as- sets.
